My frozen shoulder (now in "thawed" stage?) does not hurt in my everyday life now but I can tell there is still lots of adhesion when I try to open my arms wide. I am an 80 year old man and have been doing Pilates for 4 years. It has made a huge difference to my flexibility particularly in my neck – I can now turn my head easily when reversing the car! I have been attending 'Pilates ' with Annette Holliday for about 5 months. 
I find her classes just right! She teaches in a relaxed style but her instruction is clear, definite & straight forward. We all find ourselves trying very hard to do what is expected of us.
I used to suffer with back ache whenever I became tired & consequently had to sit during many afternoons before the pain subsided. With Annette's instruction I no longer have the back ache I used to have. I feel fitter & can go on longer. 
I can recommend 'Pilates ' with Annette.

I just wanted say that I have been doing pilates with Annette for over 2 years now and I have done pilates before with a teacher that didnt take the trouble to explain what was happening to your body etc. and didn't really understand what pilates meant but with Annette she explains what is happening to your body etc. and makes it a lot more meaningful and enjoyable. Annette is very good at explaining the purpose of the exercises that we do and the correct way we should do them.
I particularly like the pilates class which helps me to keep my body more flexible as I love to spend time gardening.
Annettes variety of excesses and her special personalised routine are most enjoyable as she adds fun to the class but at the same time impressing on us the importance of keeping fit and active too.

Hey it's Friday.......The sun has got his hat on :)

NOW I'm not one for exercising, However since I have been introduced to Annette Holliday by my dear friend Sarah DaughtreyI'm enjoying pilates.....I love it with a PASSION and Annette is passionate teaching pilates and it shows....to me Annette is amazing and has never made anything seem difficult, she helps me to UNDERSTAND pilates at my level and encourages me to ENJOY which I do. As a last minute person I rang Annette as I knew she was doing a session up at The Beacon and asked am I ok to tag along to today's session.............as always Annette happy to help and encourage said yep see you there. Outdoors, the sun, yes I admit a bit chilly but once your warmed up your ready to GO!! The session was great 'Power Walk' and I really enjoyed it different styles in walking, posture, lunges, squats, tri-ceps, press-ups and I loved the streching outdoors the wind against my face with the sun shining....what a great start to a Friday morning.

I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU I have never enjoyed exercise until I'd met the right instructor. I wouldn't swap my sessions for anything......thank you for encouraging me and helping me take these tiny steps to a new way of thinking.........so I too can enjoy a bright and better future. Suzie



I enjoy Annette’s sessions because it involves the whole body and includes not just fitness but strength and flexibility. If I haven’t been for a couple of weeks it is noticeable that my back gets stiff and is easily put out. The sessions are friendly and everyone is able to work to their own ability and being with older people, it is not a fashion parade or the music so loud that you can’t hear the instructions.
Keep going Annette, we need you !!!!

I have been attending Annette’s classes for about 5 years and always enjoy them. Annette is a friendly, knowledgeable instructor who always makes the classes fun. The classes cover a full body workout with a good emphasis on stretching which means that I rarely ache afterwards. She also makes good provision for differing levels of ability and fitness so if you’ve missed a class or two, you can still fully participate.

Not only is her technique very good but she is a first class and motivational instructor.
She keeps herself up-to-date by taking additional qualifications/training, so I trust her advice.

I thoroughly enjoy Pilates because it not only tones and strengthens your muscles but i feel so relaxed afterwards.  Annette takes the time to explain the moves and checks you have understood as well as giving tips on how to apply what you have learnt to everyday situations and tasks. The class is friendly and informal and you don`t need any expensive equipment! Cathy x

I have been coming to the class for ten years now - this is my eleventh year just beginning. I come to two classes a week and I think that, and the time I have been attending classes, is ample witness to how much I enjoy them and how much I appreciate the hard work and energy shown by Annette, At times when I have had an injury she has demonstrated alternative exercises and she is always patient when people have difficulties. In the time I have been attending the classes at Rawlins I can only remember Annette cancelling the class on two or three occasions - and that has been because of unavoidable family issues, never on her own account.

I was at beacon hill this morning with annette holliday and a group of lovely people from her pilates and aerobic classes.It was a beautiful sunny morning with a gentle breeze and i'm sure everyone will agree with me we had a fantastic workout as we always do with annette.I would recommend these Outdoor Tone classes to everyone you don't appreciate what a great uplifting feeling you get from it untill you do it.Thank's for a great workout annette and a lovely start to the day!!
